Description of our classes

Yoga 101:
This is the perfect place to start if you are new to yoga. This 5 week long session meets twice a week and introduces the beginning poses of the Ashtanga Primary Series. It allows new students to learn slowly and throughly. You must register in advance. Click here for session information.

Ashtanga Prep:
This class introduces more postures in the Ashtanga Primary Series. Yoga 101 is recommended as a prerequisite.

Primary Series:
This class is for anyone who is familiar with the practice of Ashtanga. It is an exploration of the full Ashtanga Primary Series.

Mysore: All Levels
The prerequisite for this class is either Yoga 101 or permission from the instructor. Drop-ins are offered to support students with an established Ashtanga practice only. New to mysore students are encouraged to commit to a month of practice, 2-3 times per week. For more information please click here.

Flow:
This class begins with opening exercises to prepare for practice, followed by a dynamic flow style sequence of poses, ending with cooling postures to quiet the nervous system, leaving the body and mind feeling refreshed and awake.

Mindfulness Meditation: All Levels
This class is designed for anyone who is interested in beginning a meditation practice or may act as a support to those with a current meditation practice.

Restorative Vinyasa:
Restorative: This class encourages the body to open up using gravity, deep breathing and props. You will learn to become more aware of habitual "holding" or contracting of muscles causing overuse and chronic fatigue or tension.

Curves: This is a gentle yoga class designed for women of size which will help you to become more connected with your body (as it is now) and the thoughts you have about you. This is a privately held class, to join please call Shelley at 509.995.5505 or click here for more details..

Fogis: Calling all geezers! Who says that just because you have silver hair and achy joints you can't improve your balance, your range of motion and increase your flexibility. This is a privately held class, to join please call Katie at 509.869.4121.

Somatics: This class will use Somatic exercises and yoga postures to help you become aware of your patterns that cause chronic tension in your body, and give you ways to learn how to change them.
